Squid? Well something like that!

Many of us here in the Orble community have sites elsewhere or are considering expanding into other arenas. I ran across a very easy site (free) that is a community of folks much like Orble. It doesn't rival Orble in some ways, but in other ways out distances Orble. The site name is squidoo.com. I just joined this site and let me tell you why.
This site already boasts a readership of some 40,000 with more than 52,000 "lenses." Their setup is much like a regular website or blog, but they give you already done templates to choose from and edit what you like. Best of all, you can link back to Orble or any other site you'd like. If any of you are still playing the SEO game, you realize that backlinking to high content sites is still the rule. With the backlinks I have (granted I may have more than the average bear) I managed to go from 52,000 and something to 5,000 and something in one day.
What's cool is this is simply what it pretends to be...a little lens into your world. I haven't yet thought of all the ways to utilize the squid but I've already determined that it will at minimum serve as my "index" if you will, for all my other stuff.
If you're a blogger you get the need to not overwhelm your audience. For example you understand that you may need multiple blogs in multiple subjects because some of us interested in "cars" for example may not be terribly interested in "18th century European art." The typical response is "start a new blog." Well for those who have done that, it gets a bit tedious going from one blog to the next and continually coming up with fresh content...
Here's why I like the Squid....Squidoo allows you to link to each and every site or blog. You can also do RSS feeds and have your blogs linked back to the squid! I've found nothing else out there as fun or user friendly. I encourage everyone to give the squid a little looksee!
Have fun!!!
